My works on paper and canvas are heavily influenced by the human figure, portraiture and color. Although there is endless subject
matter to represent visually, nothing is more artistically stirring than to represent the individual. Capturing their essence in color, line and form is my favorite mode of expression. Mediums I prefer to use are oils, acrylic and charcoal. Some of the artists I most admire and have influenced my work over the years are Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, Paul Cézanne, Mark Rothko, Willem de Kooning, Richard Deibenkorn, Wayne Theibauld, Egon Schielle, Balthus, Lucian Freud, Francis Bacon, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Anselm Keifer and Robert Rauschenberg.
